Ted Hughes

Investment Advisor Representative

Ted is a Certified Financial Planner™ and holds two degrees from the University of Oklahoma: an undergraduate degree in Finance and a Masters Degree in Business Administration. Ted has more than 20 years of financial experience, primarily in the area of asset management.

He is a member of the Financial Planning Association and is past President of the Oklahoma City Estate Planning Council. He and his family are members of Christ the King Catholic Parish and currently serves on the Parish Council. Ted previously served on the planned giving committee at Christ the King and the board of the Heartland Rotary Club.

Melinda Warren

Investment Advisor Representative

Melinda is a Certified Financial Planner™ and graduated from the University of Central Oklahoma with a degree in Business Administration. She holds the Accredited Investment Fiduciary™ professional designation. AIF® designees have received comprehensive instruction that represents a thorough knowledge of investment fiduciary standards of care. Melinda currently serves on the board of the Oklahoma Planned Giving Council, Integris Hospice and Hospice Foundation of Oklahoma.

Melinda is a member of the Financial Planning Association, the Oklahoma City Estate Planning Council and the Partnership for Philanthropic Planning. She previously served on the boards of the Society of Financial Professionals and the Baptist General Convention of Oklahoma. She is a past member of the American Council of Gift Annuities. Melinda currently serves on the building committee and finance committee of her church, Woodland Hills Baptist Church. Melinda previously worked for The Baptist Foundation of Oklahoma for 26 years, primarily in the areas of estate planning and beneficiary services.

Debbie Loper

Director of Client Relations

Debbie joined Hughes Warren in April of 2008.  She has 10 years of financial industry experience, including client relations, administration and supervision.

Debbie previously worked in the insurance industry for more than 25 years, primarily as a supervisor in personal lines. She held the AAI® professional designation, which demonstrates a higher level of expertise in multiple lines of insurance as well as agency operations. Debbie also spent 6 years in the non-profit arena, working in Evangelism with the Baptist General Convention of Oklahoma, and in the Fundraising and Planned Giving area with Oklahoma Baptist Homes for Children.

Debbie serves the community through her church, Faith Baptist of Guthrie. She currently coordinates and supervises community outreach events, along with all the duties that come with being the pastor’s wife.

Kelley Hooper

Assistant Director of Client Relations

Kelley graduated from the University of Oklahoma in 2013 and holds a bachelor’s degree in Communication with focused coursework in Organizational Communication and Non-profit Communication. During the fall and spring semesters of her senior year, Kelley had the opportunity to serve as the Volunteer Management Intern for Make-A-Wish Oklahoma. Kelley remained an active volunteer with Make-A-Wish Oklahoma for nearly 5 years following her internship. Though she is no longer an active volunteer, the organization continues to remain very near and dear to her heart.

Upon graduation, Kelley accepted a job at Chesapeake Energy where she worked for just over 4 years. Kelley held several roles within the organization: most recently working as a technician in the environmental air compliance division and previously providing administrative support to leadership in the IT department.

Kelley was recently married in February of 2018. She and her husband reside in Oklahoma City where they are members of Christ the King Catholic Parish. She currently serves as a coach for the Clancy Club middle school cross country team alongside several other young-adult coaches. She and her fellow coaches help to encourage positive sportsmanship, team building, and positive self-image among their middle school team members.
